GSP Representative and Swim Coach April Johnson worked with the Ethiopia Swim Federation to provide training for Swim Coaches.
Coach April provided instruction for the different swim strokes. In the mornings we would have many lectures on the history of swimming in Ethiopia, the different swim strokes, and how to coach and teach swimming skills. The afternoons were filled with pool time where students had to perform the different strokes, teach one another how to learn particular skills, and practice many swimming drills.
It was a fun filled week with 23 swim coaches from all over Ethiopia coming together to improve their skills and learn better how to teach swim lessons and coach swimmers in their regions.
